Friday, Aug. 01, 2003 - 9:00 a.m. Greetings,l 1. What time do you wake up on weekday mornings? Well, my Nature Sounds alarm (the sound of the sea) goes off at 5 a.m., but I usually wake up at least three or four times a night. I lie there calculating how many more hours I have to sleep until I have to get up and get progressively more stressed the less time it works out to be. Needless to say, I despise sleeping until the alarm goes off. I’d rather wake up an hour earlier and just lie there, half in, half out, musing about how much more time I have to snuggle under the covers. Procrastination, thy name is Mina. 2. Do you sleep in on the weekends? How late? I do sleep in on the weekends. I get up anywhere between 8:30 and 10 depending on how late I was up the night before. 3. Aside from waking up, what is the first thing you do in the morning? On weekdays I trudge into the bathroom to brush my teeth and wince when I turn on the light. On weekend mornings I go to the closet to get my bathrobe and then head out into the kitchen to make coffee and feed the cats. 4. How long does it take to get ready for your day? Weekdays: About an hour. This includes: brushing teeth, washing face, showering, dressing, making the bed, making coffee, feeding the cats, drying my hair, cleaning out the litter box, straightening up the kitchen (if it needs it) and possibly checking e-mail. Weekends: About 6 hours. Most of it spent sitting on my ass watching BBC America and drinking coffee. 5. When possible, what is your favorite place to go for breakfast? Denny’s on the Westblank. Until next time, Olrun
