Greetings,

Good news/bad news

Good news: It’s a four-day workweek for me this week!

Bad news: It’s only Monday. Monday morning at that.

The weekend was pretty relaxing.

I’ve already chronicled Friday night and (early) Saturday morning, so I’ll move along to the rest of Saturday now. Because I know everyone who reads this is on the edge of their seats. I am, myself, and I actually know what happened because I was there!

Anyway, I did most of the laundry before noon. I also cleaned out the laundry room so that it does not yell “CLUTTER HERE” anymore and is actually pretty minimalist. This involved putting some cleaning implements like mops and brooms in my Study closet, but there’s still space enough in there to walk in, so I’m okay with that. Not sure how the closet feels though.

Pandora is upset that the broom she loves to munch on is gone, but everyone else is pleased with the new look in the laundry room.

Meow has figured out how to overflow the puppy pads (*sigh*) so I’m not sure what to do except perhaps, to double layer. She must have kidneys the size of grapefruits.

But at least the puppy pads keep the overflow from flowing all over the floor. It just gathers under the pad. Disgusting, but manageable.

When I got Tommy home Saturday afternoon, he immediately began vacuuming and dust mopping which then prompted me to get into the groove and do the kitchen work.

Upshot was that the house was finished before 3 p.m. and therefore I had time to suck down, I mean daintily sip, a hard cider while soaking my tired feet in a tub full of citrus scented foot soak. Ahhhhhhh.

I even had time to watch “Keeping Up Appearances”.

Then at 6:30 it was off to my lavender scented bubble bath with candles, another hard cider and a book.

After donning the dreaded caftan, I rendezvoused with Thomas in the living room to watch Ab Fab and then we danced to Limbo and drank champagne silently to “Libera Me” in memory of 9/11 and one of the best caftan night evra which took place at the Marriott Twin Towers three weeks before 9/11.

Then I chatted with Ken for a while, made a “homemade” pizza, and ate it while watching “The Ninth Gate”.

However, around midnight I had to retreat to bed because, you know, getting up at 6:30 does not fit in very well with a late night. But I went off to dreamland listening to the rain from my sound machine and all was well.

Yesterday I lounged around reading the first two Harry Potter books, making dirty rice, and feeling bad for Thomas who had to do some work from home. His job is never done. :(

So that brings us all up to speed and now on with the week!

Until next time,

Olrun
