Greetings,
It’s raining and I’m sipping hot chai tea from PJs. It’s finally chill enough to skip the iced chai and go for the hot stuff. (Although really it’s not that chilly out, but the rain just makes it seem that way.)
It rained all night long which was nice to periodically wake up to and hear ticking against the bedroom window.
It’s one of those Fridays that I’m torn between being glad I got up to enjoy the drive in the rain and the view out the 26th floor in the office and wishing I could have stayed snuggled in bed with Tommy listening to raindrops on the window.
At least this way I get to see the rain and feel it on my face and drive through with my windshield wipers on.
Another good reason for coming in today – I got to see my new cubicle for my new job, which starts MONDAY!
Which means Fatalie has cleared her throat around me for the very last time (this being her Friday off). No more hippo molars chomping up burnt kernels of popcorn. No more hambock fingers pounding the keyboard.
No more being in a hen party!
I’ve got my work cut out for me here. Clearing off my desk, drawing up a list of responsibilities here to pass on and packing up my personal stuff. Plus meeting with new people and sort of going over the new routine.
So. Much. Fun.
Weekend plans tonight include shopping, showering by candlelight, eating Hamburger Helper by the orange glow of the pumpkin lights, watching a movie or reading new library books, cleaning Crescentwood, caftaning, and all that sort of thing.
But for now I must fly!
