Woo whee I’m busy today. I’m shoving a few words/sentences into this entry while I wait for J to warm up her lunch and then I’m galloping off to the library where I’m pretty scared to go considering my 7 books are overdue by a month. Do you think $20 will cover the overdue fine? If not, well, that’s all they will get from me this time around.
Went to see Lord of the Rings/Return of the King yesterday afternoon which was, I must say, a particularly kick ass way to spend a Sunday. I was starving so I had Tommy buy some food before the show – popcorn for me, nachos for him – and one very small diet Coke that we were both terribly frightened to drink because it was a 3.5 hour movie and peeing in the middle of a battle scene just did not seem honorable to either of us.
So I took about 6 baby sips the entire three hours and he took about 4. I sucked the rest down (and it was warm by then) waiting for him to get out of the restroom after the movie was over. Is there irony in there somewhere or is it just amusing? Or something.
Anyway, J has returned (sort of like The King only without the war and the hobbits and, of course, The Ring) and I must fly away like a nasgul (sure I’m spelling that wrong but your Tolkien fans will get it) to the library where if they charge me more than $20 in fines, I shall feast upon the librarian’s flesh and then flap off to Mordor. Or something.
