Greetings,
Once again my weekend flew by in what seems like only a few hours not two days.
Here’s a sampling of what went down:
Friday night:
I was all set to caftan, but I was so overwhelmingly tired that I ended up in bed with a library book at 7:30 p.m. I straightened up the place and fully intended to caftan, but just could not stop yawning and feeling like my head was stuffed with goose feathers. See my Friday afternoon entry for further clarification.
Saturday morning:
Because I went to bed so damn early, I got up pretty early too. I gave Meow her shot and spent most of the morning talking with Thomas about the Dark Crescent’s Working scheduled for later that evening. Then we both entered into a frenzy of cleaning. Especially him. He got down on hands and knees and scrubbed the kitchen and laundry room tiles. The floor now looks like it did when we first moved in last year.
Saturday afternoon:
I went to Schwinn Flixie around 3 p.m. and was home 45 minutes later after doing a whirlwind tour of the aisles and ending up with a $103 bill. I was a damn good shopper.
Saturday night:
Clean, clean, clean, some Sims, dress for the Working, greet weary travelers, order pizza, give Meow her shot, discuss the Working, perform the Working, drink coffee laced with shots of Sambuca and socialize until about 2:30 a.m.
Sunday:
Up again early to give Meow her shot. Then I dozed/read my library book on the couch before dragging my butt up to play Sims around 9:30. I played until about noon when Thomas stumbled out of bed. I spent the rest of the day reading library books, watching Friends and the Honeymooners and then went to bed around 9. At 10:30 I got back up and played Sims until around a quarter after 11 and went back to bed where I tossed and turned until about 2 when I got up and took some Sudafed for my very stuffed up nose. I have a sinus infection going on which is part of my sleeeeepy problem.
This morning Tom and I both got up around ten after 5 to get ready for work. We both put in some Sims time and left the house at 6:30 and I was back from the Westblank by 7 a.m. and at work for 5 after. This is the way we need to do things from now on and Thomas agrees. That gets us both to work 15/20 minutes early instead of late and there was no traffic to speak of going back across the bridge.
I can get rid of this sinus infection at any point and resume my normal-sized head happily. As Captain Picard says: Make it so.
But anyway, the weekend went quite well except for being too short. However, this coming weekend I’m going to indulge myself wickedly because Thomas is going to Houston on Friday and I have the entire weekend alone at Crescentwood. There will be, of course, caftaning, movie viewing, library book reading, and last, but not least by any stretch of the imagination, there will be Sims!
However, for now, I must return to work.
